Age 49, happily married with an 80 pound 11 year old golden retriever named Abbey. Born and raised in North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University. Avid golfer and tennis player.
I met Tony (Cav) and Bill (Smitty) through some trades on Cigarbid. I have been fortunate enough to have met Bill for lunch during one of my many business trips to Detroit. I feel very strongly that the freedom and liberty I enjoy, as an American citizen is the direct result of generations of brave veterans sacrificing for their country. I was looking for some small way to contribute when Operation From the Heart was brought to my attention. With the help of many friends here in the Atlanta area, we have been able to send a number of “care packages” to the Marines supported by OpFTH.
The letters and e-mails I have received from the Marines that have received our small packages have been humbling. These brave soldiers are firm in the belief of what they are accomplishing and have an unbelievable dedication to duty while facing extreme conditions and an unpredictable enemy. I want to do my small part to let them know how much they are loved and appreciated back home.
God bless these many brave men and women that are actually changing the world and making freedom available not only to Americans, but also in other countries formerly ruled by evil dictators.
May they return home safely having made the world a better, safer place.
