In early 2004, my wife and I were trying to find a way to do our part to help support US soldiers deployed overseas. While there were other groups out there, many seemed more interested in cash donations rather than actual participation.

That’s when I came across Tony and Bill’s effort on cigarbid.com.  This looked like exactly what we were searching for. Right away, I saw a place where I could personally help, as there was no real web presence at the time.

In addition to sending care packages, I provide tech support for OpFTH, in the form of e-mail and website administration.

While it seems everyone has an opinion about what we should be doing as a country, very little effort is placed on caring for the American soldier. Too often we get caught up in our day-to-day lives, and forget about the real people, who put their lives on hold in order to serve their country.

That is the focus of this group, and that is why I am proud to be with Operation From The Heart.
